Moments of happiness (The gift of Allah)

"Allah guides to His Light whom He wills." (Surah Nur)

Bismillah-ir Rahman-ir Raheem

Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasalam) said in a Hadith that there are moments of inspiration and baraka, so make the most of them! (narrated by Syed Muhammad ibn Maslamah, At-Tabarani: 2398)

Allah (subhana wa ta'ala) said, in Surah Al Balad (4): “We created mankind in difficulty.” Our beginning starts with the difficult time of birth, which is difficult for mother and child, we face difficulty when we learn to walk, difficulty at the persistence of our first tooth, difficulty in breast feeding, difficulty in relationships, and this difficulty continues until we leave this dunya.

So when we encounter these moments of inspiration, baraka, joy and happiness, we should make the most of them by being grateful to Allah (subhana wa ta'ala), as He said in Surah Ibrahim (7): “If you are grateful, I will surely increase you…”

May Allah (subhana wa ta'ala) be pleased with our Father, who said:

“Do not squander moments of happiness by worrying how long they will last or by remembering the past.”

When Allah (subhana wa ta'ala) blesses you with that moment of happiness, He wanted you to be happy!

“Do not waste the present by being pessimistic.”

Allah (subhana wa ta'ala) is the One who knows the khair, and that which khair for us.

As Allah (subhana wa ta'ala) said in a Hadith Qudsi: “I am as my slave thinks of Me, so let my slave think of Me as they want.”

In fact in another hadith, narrated in Muslim: “No one should die except with having a good thought of Allah (subhana wa ta'ala).”

And in Surah Al Fath, Allah (subhana wa ta'ala) blamed those who have a negative outlook on the future, such negative thoughts imply that they have a bad thought of Allah (subhana wa ta'ala).

“Do not waste moments of success by arrogance.”

As you did not achieve the success in of yourself; He is the One who granted you the success.

In a Hadith, narrated by Abdullah ibn Masud (radiallah anhu), Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasalam) said anyone who has even half of an atom of arrogance in their heart will not enter jannah.

“Do not waste the happiness of others by disparaging their moment of happiness.”

“Do not waste your day by thinking of yesterday.”

Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasalam) said that bringing happiness to the heart of someone is sadaqah!

Allah (subhana wa ta'ala) has given us that which we have never thought of, therefore we must trust Him!

He will not stop giving that which we want, except that it is khair, and khair for us is not getting what He did not give!

May Allah (subhana wa ta'ala) gather us with Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasalam) with the Baraka of the Saliheen.

Allahumma salli alaa Syedina Muhammad wa alaa Ahli Syedina Muhammad, fi k ulli lamhatin wa nafasin ‘adada maa wa see-a-hu ‘il-muLLAH
